Fableshire is a storytelling app for children. Protecting the privacy of your family — especially the children using the app — is fundamental to everything we build. This policy explains clearly what we do and do not do with your data.
We Do Not Collect Personal Data
- Fableshire does not require account registration to use the app
- We do not collect names, email addresses, or any personal identifiers
- We do not collect location data
- We use crash reporting (Sentry) to detect and fix app errors — this sends anonymized technical data (device type, OS version, error stack traces) only when the app crashes. No personal identifiers, reading history, or behaviour is tracked.
- We do not use advertising or share any data with advertisers
- We do not use cookies or similar tracking technologies
Crash Reporting & App Stability
We use Sentry, an industry-standard crash reporting tool, to detect and fix bugs that cause the app to crash. This helps us keep Fableshire stable and enjoyable for your child.
- Data is only sent when the app encounters an error or crash
- Sent data is strictly technical: device model, OS version, error type, and anonymized stack traces
- No personal identifiers, reading history, story progress, or browsing behaviour is ever sent
- No screen recordings, screenshots, or view hierarchies are captured
- Crash data is used solely for debugging and improving app stability
Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K)
Fableshire is designed for children aged 2–10. We take children's privacy with the utmost seriousness.
- We collect no personal data from child users — or any users
- The app contains no social features, no external links, and no camera access
- No child-directed advertising of any kind
- Fully compliant with COPPA (US) and GDPR for Kids (EU)
Subscriptions & Payments
Subscription purchases are handled entirely and securely through Apple App Store and Google Play. We never see, receive, or store your payment information. Billing, receipts, and subscription management are handled directly by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies.
Stories & Content
Stories and their associated audio are delivered to your device and may be cached locally to allow offline reading. No usage data, reading history, or listening behaviour is transmitted to our servers.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever update this Privacy Policy, changes will be published here with an updated effective date. We will never introduce data collection practices without clearly communicating them in advance.
